Alright, so I’m not at E3, I’m in the process of moving instead. However, there’s a massive amount of coverage that’s being spewed out over the Inter-waves.
The one tidbit that sticks out in my mind that I feel is of great importance is the difference in lines. The Sony and Microsoft booths have rather short waits. The Nintendo booth is said to have lines over 1,000 strong. Wii-doggies.
I don’t really approve of the name, but until I have the influnce of billions at my disposal, I can’t really make them change the name. Also, it could just be that I fell in love with the name Revolution. Nintendo has really proven that they can bring innovation to the gaming industry.
Know what I’m looking forward to the most though? Duck Hunt. They’re even coming out with a trigger adapter for the Wii-mote that makes it into a gun. Friggin’ sweet. Duck Hunt was the first game that I played on the Nintendo. Granted my first console game was Combat on the Atari.

Moving onto Sony, the PS3’s price point hurts my soul. I do understand that they’re probably pricing it as a first-adopter technology for their Blu-Ray technology, but it’s rather ridiculous. So far I haven’t seen anything really innovative come out of the PS3 development other than pretty ’screens’.
Oh, and their controller? “We’ve added motion sensing technology to the controller, this is something that Microsoft doesn’t have.” Yeah, maybe Microsoft doesn’t have it, but you seem to be making it look like you’re the only one that does. Did you forget the fact that you can weild a fucking sword with the Wii-mote? Seriously, get your lab monkeys out and thinking for themselves.

Microsoft. Seriously guys, you’re showing off titles that I really wish were launch titles. The two games that I’ve been looking forward to are still not out yet. Chromehounds and Gears of War. And there’s nothing that seems to be innovative yet. I am interested in the new RPG game they announced, Blue Dragon. That might actually get them some sales in Japan finally.
