Enchanted Arms - Hour 1
To be completely honest, I grabbed this game completely because I own a 360. Those that own that system are known for buying things that don’t really make sense. The first 6 months of finding a 360 was tantamount to stealing! You either preorderered, found a trick, or found a magical store.
I bought this game because it was the jrpg for the 360. It could paint the walls in blood and kill your children, but it would still be a gdmn rpg! Oblivion is awesome, its like a smelly kitten in a box in your front door. You love it no matter what and you feel bad if you don’t take it in to your house.
However, in my first hour of play it was actually well put together. You have probably read about the system and that the main character is stupid. While this is completely awesome to learn the system, it will probably irk me later on. To be completely honest, I already found myself skipping before I really ’started’ the game.
The system: Grids are back! I know other games have had it, but I haven’t seen anything grid-like since FF2. Lines, Rows, Diagonal! It all exists and it feels good.
So, I don’t suck at this game yet. But I might get bored of it. I might find myself wishing for a better system or more. However, I actually found it fun AND not distracting! We’ll see from here…
