BACK OF THE BUS: In Which Seth 4:10 Acknowledges the Existence of God

This “week’s” column was going to be about Portal, which is quite possibly the most innovative and entertaining game I’ve played in years. Then, out of the blue, the question I’ve been asking since 1991 and the launch of the SNES was answered. Long time Riders know what it is:

Where is my My Next-Gen Bionic Commando Game?

Well that question was finally, finally answered this week with the release of screenshots and video of what will no doubt be the greatest single game in the history of humankind, My Next-Gen Bionic Commando Game. My Next-Gen Bionic Commando Game is being produced by the legendary publisher Capcom in conjunction with Sweden based developer GRIN, the talent behind the well-received Tom Clancy’s G.R.A.W. series.

Early word says that My Next-Gen Bionic Commando Game will not follow the story of its legendary predecessor, but a close look and listen to the material released shows that many of the details that truly matter will not be ignored. Namely, the characteristics Bionic Arm and its relative applications, and the iconic musical score, one that has lasted longer then the console it played on (see the YouTube embed below if you don’t believe me).

An interesting development is the prospect that My Next-Gen Bionic Commando Game will be made sandbox style. A brilliant idea, and realistically the only way that a game that promises the kind of fluidity of movement, that Activision beat them to the punch on with Spiderman 2.

So here’s my advice, go play Portal (in Valve’s The Orange Box) then go to the store and demand to able to place a preorder on My Next-Gen Bionic Commando Game. It had better not suck.

This is my stop.
